Overall Purpose: This career step requires intermediate level experience. Provides the project planning, infrastructure planning/design, cost estimates/analysis, procurement and implementation of the companys internal corporate communications system. Performs engineering studies to determine requirements, short and long-range engineering plans, designs, and traffic studies of the corporations internal telecommunication systems.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Includes the day-to-day operations and support for paging, LAN/WAN, VRU, voice mail, cellular and phone/other telecom systems as necessary. This includes the implementation, maintenance, administration, configuration, problem resolution and/or technical support for telephony/voice infrastructure related hardware and software. May involve consulting with clients, hardware/software vendors and various telephony/voice support groups. Responsible for monitoring and responding to technical hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of testing tools and techniques in support of the telephony ACD/PBXs, servers, gateways, IVRs, etc. Includes direct technical support for all products delivered in the telephony/voice environment. Should have a strong background in Linux administration.  Job Contribution: Intermediate level technical professional. Subject matter technical knowledge within a discipline and sound understanding of ATT technologies.

Education: Preferred Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math or equivalent experience. Experience: Typically requires 3-5 years experience.
