Roles and Responsibilities:
• Strictly following HP ITSM/ITIL processes and procedures. • Analyzing and solving complex issues in close collaboration with other technical and account teams. • Preparing and implementing complex normal, standard or emergency changes network changes and project related tasks. • Consulting and mentoring other network engineers from your team. • Participating in Root Cause Analysis and lifecycle activities as a process owner. • Deep technical troubleshooting in conjunction with vendor and third-parties for various technologies. • Ongoing support activities, performed according to agreed SLA’s • Participating in Change Advisory Board (CAB) / Technical Advisory Board (TAB) meetings to determine potential impact of changes in the customer’s environment and providing feedback for various projects. • Maintaining of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Configuration Items (CI’s) in conjunction with environment changes. • Responsibility for particular account and/or platform in technical terms. Key Competencies and Skills:
Required Skills: • 5+ years’ experience of IT Operations; • Previous experience with support of Enterprise customers is must; • 5+ years’ of extensive experience with LAN/WAN equipment (Cisco, HP, H3C, Aruba, Juniper or similar); • 5+ years’ of extensive experience with Cisco Nexus and other datacenter technologies; • Experience with Wireless technologies (Aruba, HP or Cisco); • Expert knowledge in TCP/IP, routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching (Ethernet, STP, LACP, VTP) and other traditional network technologies and protocols, such as ICMP, ARP, Port-security, HSRP/VRRP. • Advanced understanding and knowledge of Network Security technologies – Firewalls, Proxies, VPNs; • Understanding of 24x7 mission critical enterprise computing environments and the impact of service disruption on a company’s bottom line • Mentorship skills; • Excellent coordination and communication skills; • Ability to work under pressure and following tight schedules; Desired Skills: • Excellent understanding and knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Infrastructure Libraries (ITIL) processes; • Advanced knowledge and experience with Wireless technologies (Aruba or similar); • Advanced knowledge and experience with F5 BigIP Loadbalancers (including LTM, ASM, APM and GTM modules); • Experience with Riverbed WAN Accelerators; • Experience with virtualization; • Knowledge of SDN technologies; Experience and advanced knowledge of scripting, UNIX/Linux;
Education and Qualifications:
Required: CCNP Routing and Switching or other equivalent certificate; Desired: CCIE Routing and Switching, CCNP Security, CCDP or other equivalent certification; Required: Bachelor of Science Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent certifications. Desired: Master of Science Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent certifications.
