Existing team members are responsible for the development and maintenance of:
o incoming data streams and feeds,
o database schemas associated with those feeds,
o relationships and complex joins between existing and new data streams
o and, supporting BRAIN data marts and cube structures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
o Design stable, reliable and effective databases
o Optimize and maintain legacy code
o Modify databases according to requests and perform thorough testing
o Solve database usage issues and malfunctions
o Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices
o Gather user requirements and identify new features
o Provide data management support to users
o Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements"
Key Competencies and Skills:
o Database administration, SQL (Microsoft, Oracle, and/or Linux versions)
o Proven work experience as a Database developer
o In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
o Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
o Hands on experience with T-SQL and PL/SQL, SSMS and SSIS
o Advanced user of MS Office (Excel)
o Excellent analytical and organization skills
o An ability to understand front-end user requirements and an independent problem-solving attitude
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent spoken and written English language communication skills are required.
• Detail oriented
• Works well independently and as part of a technical team.
• Quickly understands business and systems requirements.
Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science related subject or comparable experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced programming environment
Location: Bratislava OR Kosice
Working hours: US shift (1pm/ 2pm - 9.30/ 10.30pm) with some flexibility
Salary from 1560 € brutto per month. Actual salary is likely to be higher based on skills, knowledge and experience.
