Overall Purpose: This position is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert on technical solutions to assist in the account management, revenue generation, and sale for highly complex/technical products, services, applications, and/or solutions.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for consulting with direct sales teams and customers to provide technical expertise regarding the design, customization, implementation and account management of technical products/services/applications/solutions. Provides subject matter expertise regarding technical issues relating to sales. Advises customers on suitability of products based on technical needs. Prepares proposals, presentations, or bids, including developing pricing. Develops strategic plans related to the customer and the proposed solution/sale. Researches and develops customer solutions with AT&T external partners, including design and engineering. May manage and coordinate the sales and/or technical team in support of the sale of the most complex products and services to a customer. These applications, products, services and solutions are a high priority for the company and requires a high degree of technical product expertise. Spends some time at the customer premise developing and presenting sales proposals and systems solutions. Demonstrates expert knowledge of new and emerging products and/or application services. Develops and presents sales proposals and systems solutions for the most complex projects. Requires extensive knowledge of company products and services. Typically works independently without supervision and is viewed as an expert in the field by both the company and the customer. Determines best approach to resolve critical issues. Assists less experienced peers.
Education: Bachelors degree or related work experience.
Experience: Requires a minimum of twelve plus years of direct work experience.
