Provides technical expertise on computer networks to an information assurance and operational test team(s) supporting government IT customers. Research relevant AF concepts of operation (CONOPS), requirements documents, statements of work, white papers, appropriate acquisition, product or operations documents to support test discovery phase. Develop and refine test concepts, test plans, and test procedures. Coordinate for appropriate approval authority. Coordinate manpower, facilities, equipment and other resources for test events. Test engineer will document rules of engagement (ROE) and define outside technical assistance necessary for operational test execution. Test engineer will develop data management plans and collect, manage and analyze test data. Test engineer will interpret and document test results. The test engineer must have working knowledge of Cyber Test engineering support for entire test process and management and analysis of test data. Tasks include test development, including Design of Experiments, methods to collect data, analysis of the number of test runs required to provide adequate test data, and collection and storage methods of the data. Responsible for all aspects of the data analysis function during the scoping, preparation, execution and reporting of a test project be responsible for development and approval of the Data Management and Analysis Plan.
