Provides hands on oversight to the overall success of the program’s hardware component needs, assembly and sub-assembly designs and development activities to ensure a traceable mapping back to specific Hardware Requirement Specifications. The candidate will support Hardware Technicians in ensuring all equipment installations/customizations of racks, devices, assemblies and sub-assemblies match the related engineering drawing sets. Ensures all systems and sub-systems provide the specific system functionality/behavior as specified in the system-level requirements. Assist in updating system related documentation as necessary throughout the lifecycle of a project.
Leads a wide variety of Hardware Engineering related tasks and activities as part of contributing to the overall success of the team. Active participate and provides expertise in Technical Reviews/Interchanges. Ensures the completion of milestones associated with specific hardware-based projects. Frequent application of technical standards, theories and processes will be required. Support daily lab operations and regularly coordinating with security for government furnished property management. Assist System Administration team with integration of servers, and networking equipment.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Bachelor’s in science and technology related disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, and Computer Engineering; 8 years of related experience in leadership or related technical expertise.

Required Clearance: Top Secret with eligibility. Must have held an active TS/SCI position within the past 24 months and be willing to take a polygraph if required.

Desired: Advanced degree in related discipline.

The company believes in their people and offers all kinds of training to enable us to take on new jobs and to stay at the front of technology. The software defined network which we are building is the newest technology and AT&T has been involved since early 2000s. You have a great deal of autonomy at AT&T as long as you get the job done. You have the ability to do different jobs and to be challenged at all times.
