This Lead Product Manager will develop Audience Insights products for internal clients and external customers using all of AT&T behavioral data, including viewership, browsing, and location data, in support of Xandr Data’s mission and goals of enabling various business use cases in advertising, marketing, and content intelligence across all AT&T business units. This individual will work with various product management teams to understand client requirements and create priorities for product features and enhancements. This individual will also engage with account management teams to understand our clients and customers and their needs. This individual will be directly responsible for developing and supporting the product vision and strategy, the creation of product roadmaps, and the execution of the product lifecycle. This individual should have product management experience, be equally comfortable working across the business and driving technical design discussions with engineering and data science teams, and be passionate about data products and be familiar with the industry trends. This individual will help envision, build, deploy and develop Xandr’s data products, data visualization and analytics.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a portfolio of data products and features that expose behavioral data such as viewership to customers for use in research, analytics and advertising

  • Responsible for the success of new or complex products/platforms through design, development and execution of the product roadmap

  • Engages directly with external customers and/or internal stakeholders and assesses competitive marketplace to define needs.

  • Collects, creates, and translates business requirements and weighs technical solution alternatives considering cost, performance, time to market and alignment with business objectives.

  • Analyzes current solutions as well as opportunities to create new products and platforms leveraging our data and technology.

  • Develops multi-year product strategy to determine life-cycle decisions, prioritize enhancements, and market readiness.

  • Manages product design with internal and external technical suppliers in a manner that is consistent with strategic direction.

  • Leads cross functional teams to monitor product performance and drive results. Supports product engagements by evangelizing the value of new products/services to achieve buy-in and manage expectations.

  • Demonstrates strong written skills to document proposals and communicate solutions, architectural imperatives and technical requirements, and strong verbal skills to present product/platform details to development teams, customers and leadership.

  • Possesses business knowledge and financial acumen to participate with leadership in business case development.

  • Provides guidance to Senior Product Managers.

  • Maintains a subject matter expertise level of knowledge of the media, advertising, and technology ecosystem.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technical fields (Information Systems Technology, Computer Science or Engineering)

  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred

  • Desired 5+ years of experience in Product Management, preferably in the Media or Advertising industry

  • Desired experience in agile and lean startup product management processes

  • Experience leading complex strategic and operational initiatives and working through technical, business, operational, and legal/compliance issues.

  • Working knowledge of AT&T viewership data sources, DIRECTV, DIRECTV NOW, U-verse, NFL Sunday Ticket

  • Entrepreneurial drive, ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment

  • Be an influencer, across many disparate teams, translating between technical team and product stakeholders

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to coordinate and delivery across different groups and levels in the organization

  • Exceptional communication and writing skills

  • Be able to assess technical trade-offs and have discussions with architects, data engineers and data scientists on the nuances of complex data platforms

  • Strong ability to influence others, and advanced analytical thinking skills are critical for success in this position

  • Working knowledge of advanced applications with artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and/or machine learning technologies.

  • Able to work uncertainty, proactively anticipate and mitigate risks
