AT&T Technical Sales Consultant 4 - Signature Client Group is a Subject Matter Expert and strategic sales resource with extensive skills in delivering technical consultation, design and support for the AT&T SCG Sales team and Customer. As a key strategic partner and technical resource, the Technical Sales Consultant provides advanced communications and networking solutions in support of AT&T Sales and AT&T Large Fortune Customers.
Roles and responsibilities of the AT&T Technical Sales Consultant 4 - Signature Client Group include but is not limited to the following:
  • Understand and translate customer business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
  • Consult with customers in selling and supporting the sale of AT&T Portfolio, Including products, services and solutions
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Provides technical support in sales presentations, briefings, product demonstrations
  • Design WAN/LAN networks
  • Position self as Subject Matter Expert:
  • Instills Technical Confidence
  • "Sell" the technical influencer - Technical Closer
  • Leverage the knowledge of the community across many opportunities
  • Ability to communicates at senior executive levels, both orally and written
  • Focus on Revenue Growth, Technical Stewardships and Increased Customer Loyalty
  • Support unit sales plan through pre-sales and/or post-sales technical consulting activities
  • Support Customer Technical Presentations & Briefings
  • Lead technical discussions in client meetings across multiple levels and disciplines to identify business and technical needs, issues and priorities
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Design technical solutions involving new and emerging technologies
  • Focus on Revenue Growth, Technical Stewardships and Increased Customer Loyalty
  • Support unit sales plan through pre-sales and/or post-sales technical consulting activities
  • Support Customer Technical Presentations & Briefings
  • Formulate responses to customer inquiries/questions concerning highly complex system software and applications, and provides software development and consultation to prospective users

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Twelve or more years in the telecommunications and/or network engineering
  • Ten or more years of previous sales engineering and/or technical sales consultation experience 
  • Ten or more years in LAN/WAN/MAN networks including: MPLS, Routing Protocols, TCP/IP, VPNs, VoIP, Applications, Optical Networks, Wireless-Mobility, Security, Video, Hosting
  • Knowledge of Unified Communications 
  • Cisco and Juniper Routing and Switching
  • Expertise, In-depth and working knowledge of client business drivers, applications, and networking industry trends is imperative
  • Exceptional corporate presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic thinker with sales intelligence, a strong presence and the ability to create, influence, and drive customer vision
  • Effective writing skills; ability to support the development of technically focused, solutions-oriented sales proposals
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to work well both independently and as proactive team member
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technology based solutions
  • Extensive working knowledge of AT&T company products and services
  • In-depth, working knowledge of client business drivers, applications, and networking industry trends is imperative.
  •  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Understands competitive products and services, and competitive strategies
  • Experience across the AT&T Data and IP service portfolio
  • Effectively collaborate with internal and external cross-functional organizations and customers
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to work well both independently and as proactive team member
  • Pass required sales and data assessments
  • Valid driver's license in the state of employment and insurance 
Desired Skills, Experience and Education:
  • 12 or more years experience in a similar position within the same industry
  • Industry Certifications:  CCNA, CCNP and CCIE
  • Proven ability to work with wide range of organizations and extended teams
  • Network Engineering and/or Capacity Planning Expertise
  • Bachelor degree or higher in technical related field, Computer Science or Engineering preferred
