DUTIES: Apply advanced engineering and scientific knowledge to
architecture, design and development work in a Research and Development
environment for high-value technology and solutions tied to the strategic
direction of the company. Conduct design and development work in the areas of
new products and technologies, systems and platform architecture, hardware and
software development engineering, technical security, and QA design and
certification. Work on new and emerging technologies and technical architectures
on projects with a status between inception and implementation software
maturity. Serve as subject matter expert during the continuous integration and
continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex
design, engineering and development.
Create
Specifications and Architecture for vRouter Networking products. Design
prototype, develop, and maintain Software primarily for vRouter Networking
products.Fix problems in and enhance
Linux network interfaces such as IPv4 and IPv6, Network Interface Card (NIC)
drivers, and network firewalls. Work with
C, Perl, Linux kernel and
network protocolssuch as TCP/IP, IPv4
and IPv6, and network firewalls. Work with Linux
drivers, especially Network Interface Card (NIC) drivers.Develop network
software that works with the Intel DPDK.
Contribute bug fixes and enhancements to the DPDK.Develop software
for both bare metal servers and in a virtualized environment, such as VMware
ESXi and KVM.


REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 6 Years of experience in the job offered or 6 Years of experience working with C, Perl, Linux kernel and network protocolssuch as TCP/IP, IPv4 and IPv6, and network firewalls; working with Linux drivers, especially Network Interface Card (NIC) drivers; fixing problems in and enhancing Linux network interfaces such as IPv4 and IPv6, Network Interface Card (NIC) drivers, and network firewalls; and developing software for both bare metal servers and in a virtualized environment, such as VMware ESXi and KVM. Experience to include two (2) years of experience developing network software that works with the Intel DPDK; contributing bug fixes and enhancements to the DPDK
