AT&T has an opening for Associate Director Project Management to support the Pinnacle X Program  in providing   Program Management with telecommunications operation and maintenance.                     

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

The Associated Director Project Management shall fill the Pinnacle Program Management (PPM) position and will oversee the overall success of the program and ensure that the contractor designs, constructs, assembles, tests, and makes the proposed system fully operational on time and within budget. The PPM represents the contractor in all matters concerning the program. The PPM establishes the work schedule, defines, and allocates task assignment, monitors field installations efforts, evaluates work progress, and interacts directly with the Government program manager. Overall, the PPM is responsible for organizing, implementing, and completing the program’s requirements. 

The PPM shall be required and must be able to perform the following duties:

  • Interface with the department's managers to coordinate work performance, task execution, and provide overall guidance to contractor personnel;
  • Provide oversight and guidance to all contractor personnel under this contract, other contractor sites, and at installation sites;
  • Provide liaison between the COR and contractor corporate management;
  • Provides technical program management to the utilization of automated HEMP based surveillance systems;
  • Act as a main contact with other organizations to identify and quantify business issues associated with technical requirements and projects;
  • Develop business strategies, and assist in setting strategic technical direction;
  • Manage complex enterprise-wide, multiple applications, or system development projects by working with clients to develop business cases, defining business and/or technical requirements;
  • Define the projects scope and work schedules, estimating necessary resources, allocating capital and expense funding;
  • Oversee technical requirements associated with the deployment of DWDM SONET services;
  • Responsible for troubleshooting network issues and help resolve issues;
  • Be familiar with a wide array of fiber technologies;
  • Coordinate personnel assignments, work schedules, skill requirements, and hours of coverage required to meet the needs of the customer to fulfill contract obligations; and
  • Assign workload to contractor’s staff. 

Required Clearance:

Top SecretThis position requires an active TS clearance to start work. Must be eligible for Special Access Programs as defined by classified contract parameters.         (#topsecret)

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience in telecommunications operations and maintenance with emphasis on managing telecommunications systems programs.  Experience working with equipment vendors and carriers.   Strong networking background with experience in WAN configurations.  Experience with High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) enclosures and automated surveillance systems.

Desired Qualifications:

Comptia’s Security+ or comparable security certification as defined by DOD 8570 and a Master’s degree.
