The Principal Architect is a technical role within our AT&T Consulting Practices team.  In this role, candidates will provide presales of Consulting services as well as billable support (in and advisory role) for actual project delivery.  Experience selling Consulting or professional services and expertise in crafting proposals (Statements of Work, RFP responses, Level of Effort estimation) and pricing is required.  Candidates must also understand methodologies for network optimization and transformation approaches and can translate customer requirements into descriptions of work.  

Core Expertise Required
•    Support engagement management activities and billing on projects.
•    Champion of industry leading solutions and able to understand how these solutions can be positioned to fulfill a customer’s IT needs.

  • WAN Transformation experience is required.  
  • Hands on experience with multiple large scale network transformations required.
  • SD-WAN expertise is required.
  • Multi-Cloud/Internet Network Connectivity expertise is required.
  • SASE expertise is a nice to have.

•    Strong understanding of industry and vertical specific technology needs and transformation approaches.
•    Broad knowledge of IT Architecture components and technologies used to build large, global networks.
•    Excellent communication skills to include presenting, written, oral, problem solving and consensus building across technical, management and executive levels of an Enterprise organization.
•    Extensive experience in leading projects and programs for developing cost-efficient technological solutions to meet critical business needs and requirements
•    Experience across the full Lifecycle of technology adoption from ideation through design, engineering and deployment.  
•    Experience in developing financial and budgetary impacts such as TCO or funding levels required to execute a project.
•    Experience in leading the integration of multi-domain, multi-vendor and multi-platform solutions.
•    Ability to manage and facilitate strategic meetings with diverse participants and stakeholders
•    Writes white papers, technical strategy documents and develops repeatable industry solutions.
•    Subject Matter Expert for Clients as well as AT&T Sales, Service Delivery and Technical organizations
•    Develops technical selling strategies for advanced technologies

Secondary Expertise Required – The resource must have some experience in pre-sales SOW/RFP development, but it doesn’t need to be the primary skillset
•    Sales Support – As part of the AT&T Consulting Practices organization, provides pre-sales support for networking opportunities across the Consulting portfolio, including strategy, assessments, deployment and optimization engagements.  Lead sales opportunities and client presentations. Support executive sales interactions.  Personally drives $2-3M of Consulting sales annually.
•    Proposal Development – Develop resourcing model, timelines and costs of engagements.   Develop Statement of Work (SOW) and RFI/RFP development.  Present proposals to customers.
•    Service Development - Support the development of new AT&T Consulting network services in alignment with market need, incremental delivery readiness, and AT&T product house imperatives (SDN as an example).  Develop and optimize these and other AT&T Consulting offerings over time.   Work in close partnerships with other Consulting practice areas including integrated solutions and cross-selling approaches.
•    Knowledge Management - Support development of standardized templates and Knowledge Management artifacts to improve field self-sufficiency.  Develop and improve tools and templates for consistent pricing / costing on complex bids.  Develop transition and transformation frameworks to enhance standardized approaches for complex and custom deals.  Support internal training efforts.
•    Training Development – Research, capture, track and communicate on-demand, instructor led and webinar based training opportunities throughout the year. Development of training communication to the field delivery teams via team calls.
