Manager - Environmental Health & Safety Field Support
Implements corporate environmental/safety policies to comply with CUPA, OSHA, EPA, or other environmental, safety or health requirements.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Maintains compliance with government environmental, health and safety regulations. Conducts audits or surveys and recommends corrective action where environmental hazards exist. Uses independent judgment to complete required federal, state and local government reports relating to environmental, health or safety issues. Responsible for contributing to AT&T's compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions. Assigns corrective actions to correct environmental and safety hazardous situations. Meets regularly with California State Inspectors and required to exercise judgment during environmental agency inspections. Requires specialized training, quick thinking, and uses sound, independent judgment to provide guidance and training to business units on environmental and life safety issues with little or no supervision. Implements hazardous waste control and disposal activities including training, collection, disposal and records maintenance, as well as conservation programs within the organization. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Works independently with minimal supervision to determine methods and techniques for addressing solutions to Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) issues.
EH&S Manager will be assigned a company vehicle to conduct job tasks, they are in the field approximately 80% of the work week.
