About the Team:

The mission of our Digital Operations team is to operate a fault resilient, customer-centered, proactive DevOps team. The team is responsible for supporting systems that deliver AT&T’s customer experience, across multiple internet-facing eCommerce applications, databases, platforms, and technology stacks. Our customer-journey centric Ops team is made up of Ops Engineers as well as Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) who are all focused on ensuring a highly available, resilient, performant and secure customer experience.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a self-motivated Performance Tester with in-depth knowledge of Performance testing, load testing and reporting for online applications.  Performance Tester should have strong experience in performance testing best practices, develop performance test plan and use application performance monitoring tools like Soasta CloudTest, Loadrunner or similar tools.  The Performance Tester will also need to have good understanding of React UI and Java, Microservice technology stack and architecture to be able to identify the problem areas after doing performance testing.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze system performance metrics on an on-going basis to determine opportunities for improvement, investigate & develop solutions to address production performance issues, and partner with feature development teams to deliver highly performant code.
  • Analyze new product Features and User-Stories, identify potential performance impacts, create performance non-functional requirements, and develop code/script solution that will test and validate performance of new customer-facing functionality before they are launched to production.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop performance strategy that aligns to the key Customer Journeys, as well as implement Service Level Indicator & ensure Service Level Objectives and OKRs are met
  • Partner with Development & Operations teams on software development, delivery and deployment including performing code analysis/reviews, architectural integration analysis for performance improvements and conducting software resiliency.
  • Ability to find root cause of performance bottlenecks using performance monitoring and profiling tools, log analytics and customer experience monitoring tools.
  • Experience in working in multi-tier application environment in a large scale technically diverse organization

Shift timing (if any): Yet to Review

  • Shift falls typically between 6 am to 10 PM India standard time. Occasionally may have to work long hours in situations when it is needed.

Location: Hyderabad

Primary / Mandatory skills:

  • Overall Experience:  Ability to Analyze system performance, identify performance issues and suggest solution to resolve those and application architecture 3 - Intermediate (practical application)
  • Expertise in performance monitoring tools like Splunk, EFK, Dynatrace, Quantum Metrics, or similar tools.: 3 - Intermediate (practical application)
  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering and operations for internet/eCommerce applications: 3 - Intermediate (practical application)
  • Strong understanding and experience in one or more programming languages like - Java, Python, React UI, Microservices/API architecture, scripting, and SQL
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills to work in a Global team

Secondary / Desired skills:

  • Analyze new product features, identify potential performance impacts, create non-functional requirements: 2 - Novice (limited experience)
  • Collaborate with different teams like business, development and operations teams to understand the application performance goals and design a plan to support those: 2 - Novice (limited experience)
  • cloud environment - Azure/AWS: 2 - Novice (limited experience)

Additional information (if any): Willing to work in Shift Duties, Willingness to learn is very important as AT&T offers excellent environment to learn Digital Transformation skills such as cloud, Big data, AI, Full stack etc.

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s/ Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

Certifications (if any specific):  Any Certification related to Primary / Mandatory Skills

Experience:

  • 7+ yrs. of software development
  • 5+ yrs. of performance engineering experience
  • 3(+) years of experience in Performance Engineering, performance analysis, and application architecture
  • 2(+) years of experience with Site Reliability Engineering and operations for internet/eCommerce applications

Cons

Deadlines they are giving is very short period. So, always need to extend our times in the office and sometimes need to work on holidays.
