ServiceNow Developer - Sr Tech Specialist

Hyderabad, Telangana, India

Responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment,
production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for developing, designing, and owning technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform.  The candidate will apply good practice web programming techniques to configure robust solutions utilizing the ServiceNow platform. ·  Overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation of all aspects of the ServiceNow platform. ·  Efficient and effective throughput of delivering on requests ranging from new and modification of Service Catalogs, configuration and functionality changes, and administration. ·  Provide software coding and customization including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations, and custom application development. ·  Update and maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for ServiceNow instance upgrades with the purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade completes. ·  Coordinate and solve complex technical data and transformation issues. ·  Obtain and analyze/interpret business requirements to purpose sustainable solutions in ServiceNow. ·  Answer “how to” technical and application configuration questions. Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages. Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting. In addition to Unit Test, responsibilities may include interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing. Supports applications and solves configuration and environment issues. Supports the software deployment process.

Key Competencies and Skills:

Fluent in English language; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to write thorough product and process documentation

Education and Qualifications:

Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Applied Science / Electrical Engineering / Math Java, Javascript, 8+ years of total experience with minimum 2+ years of ServiceNow development and implementation
