Overall Purpose: Manages a team that is responsible for all company trucks and vehicles controlled by the distribution function.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Supervises efforts of technicians and/or clerical subordinates who coordinate acquisition and disposition of vehicles, manage the vehicle licensing function, administer the fuel program, preventative maintenance and repair services for vehicles and other special work equipment. May schedule and dispatch company vehicles and drivers and assign vendors and resolve bill payment issues. Prepares reports on inspection findings and ensures proper maintenance to comply with prescribed safety regulations. May be responsible for fuel purchases and load balancing. Coordinates warranty programs. Oversees implementation of vendor agreements and vendor bill payments. Manages fleet capital budget and vehicle maintenance and repair budget. Create and maintain contracts for the purchase of fleet vehicles and equipment. Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors. Directs work of team, including scheduling work assignments. Influences decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates. Responsible for the following areas for direct reports - career planning, performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Education: Typically Bachelors degree or equivalent is needed. Experience: Typically 2 to 5 years relevant experience in area of responsibility. Supervisory: Yes. Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T's compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
Our Manager Fleet Operations roles earn between $70,700 - $127,300. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
