Senior Advanced Analytics, Advertising Optimization

Do you want to use your analytic skills to help optimize AT&T’s advertising spend?

AT&T’s Marketing Measurement and Optimization team is looking for an innovative and experienced professional to join our team.

The mission of the MMO team is to develop and implement a systematic approach to managing marketing impact on sales, profitability and brand equity and using those results to optimally allocate marketing budgets. The Principal-Advanced Analytics position runs scenarios to allocate budgets across media channels and products, assesses impacts from media increases/decreases, and assists the marketing teams identify frequency and sequencing opportunities. The position will work closely with the Mobility & Entertainment marketing teams in charge of mass media, digital advertising, and direct marketing.

Details include:
  • Utilize results from Marketing Mix Models and Multi-Touch Attribution solution to optimize marketing spend
  • Run scenarios to optimally allocate marketing budget across media channel and product
  • Estimate gross add impacts from media heavy-ups or reductions
  • Identify key drivers behind media effectiveness and performance
  • Share insights with senior executives and craft related action plans with internal stakeholders


  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics or related field
  • BS/BA in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related quantitative field
  • Proficient in SAS and/or SQL
  • Experience with large transactional databases
  • Must possess a solid understanding of basic statistics and consumer marketing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence others
  • Knowledge of the media and advertising space (mass, digital, direct marketing) is preferred
  • Experience in large media, technology, ecommerce, or other subscription-based company is a plus
