Capabilities Development Systems Engineer (Government)

 Capabilities Development Systems Engineers
work as part of the prototype development and integration team to identify
configure and test hardware solutions to meet the needs of the Prototype
Development and Execution Branch. Engineers support project develop tailored
approaches to managing their technical baseline, recommend tailored planning
for transition and testing strategies, and ensure compliance for all
statutory and regulatory acquisition documentation has been captured. The
team will support space-related prototype projects as they participate in
the SMC/AD Space Enterprise Consortium Other Transaction agreement (SpEC
OT). Engineers will manage and control the SpEC documentation and support
outreach efforts to collaborate with US Government SpEC customers and with
the Consortium Manager. Recommend and review US Government SpEC Customers
acquisition plans for compliance with current NDAA Other Transaction
guidance and DoD Other Transaction Guidebook requirements. Participate in
cross-functional customer facing product teams (IPT). Support the Program
Security team to ensure prototype projects are in compliance with OPSEC,
PPP, and SCG to meet security needs. Support Program Management Office (PMO)
in estimating, reporting, and planning prototype capability engineering
tasks. Participate in Risk Management Boards (RMB) and identify prototype
project risks

Additional Information:

Required Skills,
Experience, and Education
:  Bachelor degree or equivalent in
Engineering Discipline, Math, Computer Science, Information technology,
Physics, or related field. Experience in spacecraft subsytems, payload,
launch systems, or ground systems development and implementation. Experience
working with SMC Acquisition Lifecycle Development, Other Transaction
Agreements, and Technology Transition planning. Must have a current SECRET
clearance, eligible for SCI. US Citizenship

Required Clearance:
Must have a current SECRET clearance

Desired:  Experience with prototype demonstration
projects• Experience with developing Systems Engineering technical
documentation• Experience with cubesat or smallsat architecture• Experience
preforming system engineering functions in a US Government environment
