AT&T’s Marketing Growth Organization is looking for an innovative and experienced professional to lead our Media Measurement and Optimization team.

The mission of the MMO team is to develop and implement a systematic approach to managing marketing impact on sales, profitability and brand equity. The AVP-Advanced Analytics position leads the team which manages measurement and insights for marketing/advertising investment and impact. The position leads efforts to develop, maintain, and refine market mix models, multi-touch attribution models, performance analytics of media, marketing test and learn, and associated data for AT&T’s Consumer Wireless and Fiber businesses. Insights from attribution will drive strategies and tactics to increase sales, lower churn and optimize AT&T’s deployment of advertising messages, mass media, social media and direct/digital marketing. This position will provide thought leadership, insights, recommendations, and communicate complex findings in a simplified way to our marketing partners, vendors, and other organizations.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Lead the team in development of ROI frameworks and measurement for marketing and media
  • Develop and maintain market mix models, attribution models and other marketing ROI analytics
  • Utilize results from Marketing Mix Models and Multi-Touch Attribution solution to optimize marketing spend
  • Run scenarios to optimally allocate marketing budget across media channel and product
  • Estimate gross add impacts from media heavy-ups or reductions
  • Identify key drivers behind media effectiveness and performance
  • Share insights with senior executives and craft related action plans with internal stakeholders
  • Lead projects including A/B test design and analysis, consumer segmentation, metric forecasting, and sales analysis
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnership with Business Channel Owners and media agencies
  • Design and interpret market level test and learn initiatives
  • Advise business partners with regards to patterns and relationships in the data to recommend business direction or outcomes
  • Manage both internal and vendor analytical and data teams

The position is located in California (El Segundo), Texas (Dallas) or Georgia (Atlanta).   Position can work from home for majority of the time, however some days in the office / some travel will be required. 


Qualifications 

  • The successful candidate will have 10+ years’ relevant work experience, with emphasis in Marketing Mix Modeling or Multitouch attribution. 
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills and ideally have experience developing multivariate models to produce insights.
  • Strong Excel spreadsheet skills are required, along with experience managing large, complex data sets and knowledge of the media and advertising space (mass, digital, direct marketing).
  • Candidates must be able to manage multiple complex, time-constrained projects in parallel, serving as the subject matter expert for executives.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to communicate coherent storylines that concisely convey insights and indicated actions that enable senior executives to make decisions. The candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and is a team player who can negotiate with and influence a wide range of business constituencies. 
  • A Bachelors’ degree in economics, decision science, computer science, engineering, science, analytical marketing or other quantitative field is required; a Masters or PhD is strongly preferred.
