Acquisition and Development Program Security Engineer (Government)

El Segundo , California


Acquisition and
Development Program Security Engineer to join its team of qualified, diverse
professionals. The successful candidate will become part of SMC/AD Space
Enterprise Consortium (SpEC) Other Transaction Space–Related Prototype
Project Team. The Acquisition and Development Program Security Engineer will
provide program security management and oversight for a diverse range of
prototype acquisitions and support the engineering team. They will provide
security management interface and guidance to Prototype Project Managers,
Government Agreement Officers, and Consortium Manager within the Advanced
Systems and Development Directorate.

  • Interpret DoD security policies in
    accordance with new acquisition vehicle to ensure compliance with National
    Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity and DoD Cybersecurity
    standards and policies when working with non-traditional and small
  • Coordinate with SMC/AD Security
  • Develop solutions for safe data
    transfers and downloads across various networks and systems, supporting SpEC
  • Provide security/cybersecurity
    awareness updates for SPEC Team
  • Assess security/cybersecurity risk for
    projects (
    8510.01, Risk Management Framework and DoD 8500.01, Cybersecurity)
  • Administrator
    security procedures for safe handling of space-related prototype project
    materials and information
  • Asses
    project information for potential critical information compromise in
    accordance with the SMC Enterprise Protection & Cyber Engineering
    Division Operations Security (OPSEC) Plan
  • Ensure
    SpEC compliance with SMC reproduction and destruction policies for classified
    and/or proprietary materials
  • Implementation
    of COMSEC procedures and requirements

Additional Information:

  • Bachelor’s
    Degree related to Security and/or Risk Management, Government and/or
    Public Policy, Information Management, or Criminal Justice
  • Experience
    with Industrial Security
  • Experience
    with Cybersecurity  Strategy and
    Program Protection Plan development
  • Experience
    with Federal Acquisition Regulation Life Cycle Management
  • Experience
    with Other Transaction Agreements project management
Skills, Experience, and Education:
Bachelor degree or equivalent related to Security
and/or Risk Management, Government and/or Public Policy, Information
Management, or Criminal Justice, or related field. Experience in Cybersecurity
and Program Protection development and implementation. Experience working with
DFARS. Experience with Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs).

Must have a
current SECRET clearance. US Citizenship
