Overall Purpose: Responsible for collecting, recording, classifying, examining, analyzing or reporting accounting transactions. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, collections, assets control, product cost, labor or inventory analysis or consolidation. Prepare journal entries, maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, oversee record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. Balances books periodically and prepares profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements. Oversee company receipts and disbursement reports. Prepare federal, state, and local reports and tax returns. Interprets the meaning of accounting reports and records and statements. Job Contribution: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues. This position will be responsible for these tasks as they relate specifically to the Foundation/Corporate Contributions Council (CCC), Employee Relief Fund (ERF), and Employee Disaster Relief Fund (EDRF). Having an understanding of these organizations and their functions would be a valuable skillset. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills are critical to this function as the position answers questions for members of the Boards of these organizations as well as for the E&LA Professional Services & Operations organization. May also communicate with external vendors and contractors to complete tax returns and fulfill other financial responsibilities. Education: At least a bachelor degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business. A Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) license would be benefit the candidate, but is not required.  Experience: Typically requires 2-3 years of experience. Supervisory: No.
