About the Team

Our Digital Engineering team is looking for a Salesforce Release Management Lead who is a change management champion and can guide the Salesforce  teams through the Change and Release Management practice. Working with representatives from development teams, product managers, Quality Assurance, business user community and other stakeholders, release manager is responsible for defining, communicating and executing release and change management strategies, policies and processes, and providing release governance process.

About the Job

As a Salesforce Release Management Lead with the Digital Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to join a fast-growing team that is embarking on a multi-year implementation as part of an on-going digital modernization effort.  As part of the Salesforce Platform Engineering team, you will lead a team of release management personnel to facilitate a smooth change management process that delivers new functionality/features to the user community with no risk and disruption to production functions.

Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View

•    Must have 5-7years of leadership/management experience in large organizations and large-scale project settings as a technical change manager

•    Must have 5-7 years of Change management experience in Salesforce / MuleSoft projects, which includes managing the application environments and DevOps CI/CD pipeline, monitoring and maintaining application landscape (includes Salesforce Sales & Service, Marketing Cloud, and MuleSoft)

•    Prior ATT experience is an advantage in a similar role

•    Working with project stakeholders, define release strategy and build release calendars

•    Work with other release managers in the enterprise to coordinate changes for dependencies and provide enterprise-wide view of releases.

•    Plan, schedule and manage releases through their life cycle working with various product and development teams within the Salesforce ecosystem

•    Collect documentation related to release changes, prepare release notes and communicate/publish them for stakeholder consumption

•    Identify dependencies with releases and work with the teams to resolve and plan the dependencies

•    Identify and mitigate risks related to releases

•    Conduct Release preparation meetings, review release readiness, escalate and resolve issues, conduct go/no go meetings and communicate

•    Conduct release retrospectives and look for continuous improvement opportunities for improvement of the change management process

•    Present release scope, risks and mitigation plans in Change Review Boards and obtain the necessary approvals

•    Work with DevOps, Quality Assurance, Performance, CSO and other teams to ensure that the release integrity is maintained – all gate reviews are performed and passed before accepting the release.

•    Production incident management

•    Ensure adequate technical documentation and Knowledge transfer are provided to production support teams before approving the release

•    Establish a well-defined process / templates for communications related to releases and subsequent changes

•    Create, track and report metrics related to releases, with requirement traceability (release changes linked to requirements via stories/epics).


•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

•    Background in supporting Salesforce applications, specifically Sales & Service Cloud

o    Experience with Marketing Cloud desired

o    Experience within high tech, software and/or wireless/telecom industry highly desired

o    Experience with MuleSoft desired

•    Familiarity/experience with change management tools,  CI/CD Pipeline using industry tools

o    Experience in GitHub, Bitbucket or similar

o    Experience using a build manage tools, such as Jenkins, Bamboo

•    Solid technical background with understanding and/or experience in software development

•    Experience working within scaled agile development team

•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers, and senior leaders
