The Principal Strategic Pricing Lead will be the Product Owner for the Next-Generation Price Model, responsible for managing the relationship between business owners, end users, and the development team. The Next-Generation
Pricing Model will help us deliver data-driven pricing recommendations for AT&T Business Mobility Products and Services.
This role uses advanced analytics, machine learning, and market insights to optimize pricing strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, data science teams, and technology partners, ensuring the successful delivery and continuous enhancement of the pricing product.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing, developing, and communicating strategic, financial, and administrative implications of proposed or implemented pricing policy.
Develops price recommendations to ensure compliance with policy and recommends positions for pricing and reimbursement strategies for current and future products across all relevant customer and market segments.
Performs the lead role in managing Life Cycle Pricing Activities (Field, Promo & ICB envelopes) for individual services and Product Portfolios.
Review competition for a new product for strategic insight and advise on final pricing contracts and strategies to gain market share.
Works with Product and CFO costing to recommend short- and long-term pricing actions.
Work with NPV and Product Profitability Model to analyze requests.
Considered an expert within the discipline and trains ICB teams on service strategy, market alignment, field authority changes, and promotions.
May be required to support complex deals where results could be precedent setting.
This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
Qualifications:
Product Owner or Product Manager in pricing, AI, or mobility-related domains.
Understanding AI/machine learning concepts and their application in pricing strategies.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with the Microsoft Suite of products and Power BI. Additional tools preferred that may be useful could include SQL and Snowflake
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable product features.
Knowledge of mobility industry trends and competitive landscape is a plus.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 7+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
NOTE: This is not a Supervisory role.
