POSITION: Member of Technical Staff
JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard St., Dallas, Texas 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]
Member of Technical Staff needed by AT&T Services, Inc. in Dallas, Texas [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to develop the frontend of various Proof of Concept (POC) projects, such as AI and LLM project, performance monitoring project, VPN project, etc. in a timely fashion (GUI design and implementation, Android client GUI development, using Vue.js and frameworks like Bootstrap and Express). Use Python programming skills for backend development. Integrate various technologies such as LLM, network probes, and hardware virtualization. Employ lightweight middleware like MQTT and REST API for efficient communication. Develop integration for various database systems like MongoDB, Snowflake, and MySQL. Integrate with network database NetDB to enable data extraction across complicated production network configuration data. Research and configure Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) and perform GPU/CPU test on KVM using libvirt/QEMU to enhance network flexibility and scalability. Develop AR/VR application with Unity engine for immersive experiences including integration of the hardware Kinect camera using tech like Kinect Body tracking and streaming with tools like ALVR or Virtual desktop. Show proficiency in Linux/Unix and Vyatta Operating Systems for development and deployment environments. Utilize Docker container in Linux to deploy the retail store monitor services and configure for Linux-based services to ensure performance and reliability. Apply knowledge with cloud based platform like AWS, Azure, and google cloud to be able to collaborate with teams and be able to use Polly text to speech and speech to text. Apply knowledge with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and computer vision libraries like OpenCV for AI-driven applications. Develop new machine learning models with company data and fine-tune the existing machine learning models to improve performance metrics such as accuracy and precision. Build and configure DHCP servers and configure VPN like strongSwan and IPSEC for network design and secure communication. Apply understanding of SDWAN solutions, layer2/layer3 technologies, and internet routing protocols with knowledge of qos techniques. Configure Vyatta for routing, firewall, and VPN functionalities to ensure secure and efficient network communication. Conduct test to optimize network performance using packets generator like IXIA and Spirent. Research and test Networking Address Translation (NAT) of Openvswitch by building service chains using Openvswitch, Vyatta, and Fortigate. Troubleshoot performance and utilization problems using tools including TCPdump to identify and resolve network issues promptly. Design CPU assignments for Vyatta White Box and conduct performance testing. Conduct test on Vyatta operating system for VFNs performance. Guide interns on the project by helping them on project off-loading computing power from bulk HDM to edge uCPE. Mentor interns on project including Software Defined Network developing, understanding the network architecture, and developing an application based on it. Develop and execute comprehensive test cases. Collaborate with network engineers to understand their needs and provide streamlined solutions in design, testing, reporting, and documentation by communicating these solutions across teams. Work with Express framework for backend development. Create VueJS Web GUI and Android applications. Work with DHCP server configuration for automated IP address assignment and network configuration. Utilize programming skills in messaging protocols including MQTT and REST API. Utilize CPU assignments for Vyatta White Box.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science or Engineering and 4 years of experience in the job offered or 4 years of experience in a related occupation utilizing Python programming; working with Express framework for backend development; creating VueJS Web GUI and Android applications; configuring Vyatta for routing, firewall, and VPN functionalities; utilizing programming skills in messaging protocols including MQTT and REST API; working with DHCP server configuration for automated IP address assignment and network configuration; utilizing SD-WAN solutions, layer 2/layer 3 VPN technologies, and internet routing protocols; configuring strongSwan and IPSEC for clients, DHCP, and route forwarding; utilizing troubleshooting skills using tools including TCPdump; utilizing Docker container tools for uCPE function deployment; working with Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) on KVM using libvirt/QEMU; utilizing CPU assignments for Vyatta White Box; utilizing database systems including at least one of the following: MongoDB, Snowflake, or MySQL; utilizing hardware integration technologies including Kinect Body tracking, Unity, MediaPipe, and ALVR; working with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow; utilizing text-to-speech technology including AWS Polly; utilizing text-to-speech technology including AWS Polly; utilizing Linux/Unix and Vyatta Operating Systems; utilizing testing tools including IXIA and Spirent; developing and executing comprehensive test cases; collaborate with network engineers to understand their needs and provide streamlined solutions; communicating solutions across the company.
