Overall Purpose: Lead Marketing & Research Analysis Manager will collect, research and analyze data to identify market trends and make recommendations for the development of new products or services.


Key Roles and Responsibilities: Manages a wide range of investigative studies to assess the organizations present and future position with regard to market share, effectiveness of current marketing/sales programs and feasibility of new products. Provides research findings and works with marketing management to facilitate development of effective marketing plans and programs. Provides consultation to all levels of marketing on the identification of marketing opportunities, and aids in the assessment of departmental opportunities for improvements in marketing information. May provide guidance and oversight of work to less experienced contributors. Considered an expert within the discipline.

Description:
Responsible for conducting competitive intelligence and market research to identify and share industry trends, technology trends, business buying behaviors and competitive actions that are shaping the industry and impact AT&T. Additional topics may include market trends around distribution, buying behaviors of specific types of customers, digital, in-depth studies on specific competitors, cross-product/cross-portfolio market dynamics, etc.  Manages a wide range of investigative studies to assess the organizations present and future position with regard to market share, effectiveness of current marketing/sales programs and feasibility of new products
• Proactively identify and share/present industry/technology trends, competitive movements and implications to AT&T with key business holders.
• Provide consultation to all organizations and all levels on industry/technology trends, competitive landscape and market opportunities.
• Manage third-party vendors to perform market research and competitive intelligence studies
• Make recommendations relating to product development/enhancement, business opportunities, and investments

Education: Typically requires a bachelors degree.

Experience: 6+ years of experience in similar area of responsibility.


Required Qualifications:

  • Five years experience working with marketing
  • Strong analytic and fact-based decision-making skills
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook
  • Must possess both outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Collaborative working style, strong listening skills, with ability to incorporate multiple viewpoints into discussion and decision making
  • Client service orientation:
    • Ability to establish rapport, credibility and positive working relationship with all stakeholders including suppliers and internal clients at all organizational levels
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve stakeholder problems/issues/concerns
  • The successful candidate will be able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodation:
    • Ability to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier and fax
Desired Qualifications:
  • Six or more years working with marketing
  • A Bachelors degree in Marketing or a related field
