Lead Financial Analyst

This position is in the Accounting Policy group. Responsible for researching accounting standards (GAAP) and documenting AT&T’s interpretation of those standards in complex areas of accounting and unique or significant transactions. Monitors the development of new standards and provides interpretation guidance for the
implementation of those standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical accounting guidance on proposed complex transactions.
2. Research accounting treatment for unique or non-recurring transactions and evaluate the impact of alternatives.
3. Create & update accounting policies and guidance documents for new or changing operations and transactions not
covered by existing policies. Integrate the accounting policies of purchased entities into AT&T policies.
4. Support implementation of new accounting standards issued by the FASB.


1. 5-7 years accounting and finance experience.
2. CPA required

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, or a technical related field
  • Five years experience in accounting, financial analysis, or financial reporting
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal communications and project management/leadership skills
  • Excellent desktop skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Access)
 Desired Qualifications:
  • Five or more years experience in Financial Analysis, modeling and forecasting
  • MBA in Finance
