AT&T is seeking a forward-thinking and analytical Assistant Vice President (AVP), Corporate Strategy to support and execute high-impact strategic initiatives that shape the company's long-term vision. This role is instrumental in conducting market analysis, financial modeling, and strategic planning to inform executive decision-making and drive business growth.
As a senior strategic advisor, the AVP will work closely with executive leadership to assess market trends, competitive dynamics, and investment opportunities, ensuring that AT&T remains a leader in an evolving industry. This position requires exceptional analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
This role is based in Dallas TX requiring in-office presence 5 days/week. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analysis & Research:
Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry dynamics to identify opportunities and threats.
Utilize strategic frameworks (e.g., SWOT, PESTLE, Porter’s Five Forces) to assess business challenges and guide decision-making.
Financial Modeling & Analysis:
Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate business performance, investment opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
Utilize DCF analysis, ROI calculations, and sensitivity analysis to assess financial impact and support recommendations.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Assist in the development and execution of AT&T’s strategic plan, collaborating with senior leadership to set long-term objectives.
Partner with key stakeholders across business units to drive alignment, execution, and tracking of strategic initiatives.
Presentation & Communication:
Prepare and present data-driven strategic recommendations to senior executives and stakeholders.
Create compelling presentation materials that translate complex insights into clear and actionable business strategies.
Serve as a liaison between corporate strategy and business unit leaders, integrating insights and feedback into final deliverables.
Work cross-functionally with finance, marketing, operations, and product teams to ensure the seamless execution of strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
Required:
10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, finance, or business development.
Strong financial modeling and business case development skills, with experience in DCF, ROI, and scenario analysis.
Proven experience in strategic planning, competitive analysis, and market research.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives.
Experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders in a large, matrixed organization.
Preferred:
Experience in telecommunications, technology, or a related industry.
Background in strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or corporate development.
Advanced degree (MBA, MS) in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
