A little about our team

We design the future of AT&T’s customer experiences. Through strategy, research, and ideation, the Design Technology team makes life easier for the 100 million families and 3 million businesses who connect to the world with AT&T.

We’re designers, researchers, design program managers, and content strategists with wildly different backgrounds, skillsets, and passions. We all come together to build an end-to-end experience that surpasses expectations. What you’ll do

Using a combination of skill, creativity, and leadership, you’ll help AT&T set the vision for a diverse set of future experiences and products. 

You will collaborate with product leaders to identify, prioritize, and plan future creative projects for our teams to address. By matching business objectives with customer needs, you’ll shape those opportunities with our partners to bring cohesive solutions across our touchpoints online, in stores, and when customers reach out for support. You’ll be successful by maximizing our team’s potential impact to customers, employees, and business outcomes.

In leading creative projects, you’ll develop key artifacts like journey maps, service blueprints, and experience strategies that influence business leaders and decisions. You’ll work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to guide a project’s strategy, activities, and outcomes.

Who you are

As an Associate Director of User Experience, you should be:

  • Comfortable proactively defining project opportunities with executive product leaders
  • A dynamic leader, focused on strategic vision while coaching creative talent on execution
  • Able to uses your fluency within the design discipline to provide feedback and direction to multiple teams, course-correcting both projects and programs along the way
  • Able to tell compelling stories about your work to partners and team members
  • Great at wrangling complex problems and finding clarity and simplicity
  • Interested in how technology shapes people’s lives, and in how people shape technology
  • Strategic about any challenge and seek to create holistic, compelling products

We’d love you to apply for the Associate Director of User Experience role if you:

  • Have recruited and hired creative teams
  • Have 5-7 years of product design experience with a strong portfolio of design and UX work
  • Have 1-3 years of experience leading and coaching creative teams to develop new concepts that ship
  • Are well-versed in product design, management, and roadmapping techniques
  • Are well-versed in user-centered methodologies, design thinking, and service design
  • Are comfortable communicating with and presenting to executive stakeholders and leaders
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or an equivalent field
  • Have a working knowledge of common design tools: Figma,Invision,and others
