AT&T’s Workforce Analytics team is tasked with analyzing employee data to understand how to identify, motivate, engage, and retain talent through the use of data and analytics, with the goal of supporting our business strategy.
The Principal Consultant – Workforce Analytics is a senior level individual contributor role who is our subject matter expert on applying the optimal analytic tools and techniques to analyze employee behavior and demographics to help understand employee outcomes and the impact those outcomes have on our business. This individual needs to have knowledge of a wide range of statistical techniques and an understanding of when best to apply those techniques to our human capital data. We use both traditional statistical methods (Chi-Square, ANOVAs, etc) as well as machine learning techniques, depending on the need of the analysis. Some examples of machine learning techniques to forecast or understand our data include Random Forest, Gradient-Boosting, LDA (to analyze employee comments) A successful candidate will have experience in each of these areas, and be able to articulate the rationale for using any or more of these tools.
This role will present to senior leaders (VPs and above) in HR and the Business depending on the project, and work with other team members to conduct analysis, visualize the data and results, and help tell the story with the data to inform business decisions.
Location: Dallas or Los Angeles preferred, but not required
Degree: Degree in advanced analytical method or statistics is preferred, specifically with a focus in Psychology or Human Capital analytics
Typically 8 years or more of experiences in a related field
