Senior Computer Scientist (Government)

This position requires a senior software engineer providing full system and software life-cycle support for incremental software functionality. The candidate should be self-motivated, enjoy working directly with the customer and with the end-users and value high quality software.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Education:

  • Minimum of 7 years with software development lifecycle experience (B.S. Degree in CS can substitute for 2 years)
  • BASH shell scripting experience (will account for approx. 45% of the work)
  • JAVA development experience (will account for approx. 35% of the work)
  • PERL experience (will account for approx. 20% of the work)
  • Strong Redhat LINUX experience

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with web services (REST, SOAP)
  • Experience with ANT scripts for builds
  • Experience with Software Version Control (i.e. CVS)
  • Experience interfacing to Oracle or other RDBMS

I believe in AT&T and know they are at the edge of technology. The company believes in their people and offers all kinds of training to enable us to take on new jobs and to stay at the front of technology. The software defined network which we are building is the newest technology and AT&T has been involved since early 2000s. You have a great deal of autonomy at AT&T as long as you get the job done. You have the ability to do different jobs and to be challenged at all times.

I really have little negative to say about AT&T I have worked here for 35 years on March 23rd of 2016.
