Computer Scientist L3 (Government)

The Computer Scientist shall have an expertise and knowledge and be able to apply this knowledge in the
design, development, test and documentation of software code. The Computer
Scientist shall apply sound planning, analysis and programming and coding
practices.






The Level 3 Computer Scientist shall possess the
following skills and capabilities:

  • Software
    driver development
  • Software application
    development
  • Digital signal processing applications
  • Client/server
    applications
  • Legacy and current
    processor technology
  • Operating systems,
    architectures, and interfaces
  • Software/code
    reverse engineering
  • Hardware
    functionality
    and the relationships with
    software
  • Moderate and
    participate in software peer reviews
  • Provide
    technical management using project management best practices
  • Lead a small team of
    contractor technical personnel
  • Effectively
    communicate, both written and verbally, to the technical team, management,
    and customer so as to inform them of progress, plans and potential problems
    and viable solutions
  • Apply sound planning,
    analysis, and programming and coding practices.



Eight (8) years of experience in software and firmware design,
development and test to include writing clear, concise, functioning and fully
commented code that follow applicable Government standards, and a Master's
degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Systems
Engineering from an accredited college or university is required OR Ten (10)
years of experience in software and firmware design, development and test to
include writing clear, concise, functioning and fully commented code that
follow applicable Government standards and a Bachelor's degree in
Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering from
an accredited college or university is required.

Required Clearance:  TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is REQUIRED.

I believe in AT&T and know they are at the edge of technology. The company believes in their people and offers all kinds of training to enable us to take on new jobs and to stay at the front of technology. The software defined network which we are building is the newest technology and AT&T has been involved since early 2000s. You have a great deal of autonomy at AT&T as long as you get the job done. You have the ability to do different jobs and to be challenged at all times.
