AT&T has an opening for a Change & Configuration Management Technical Analyst to support the customer’s technical post implementation review and root cause analysis of issues that arise during network maintenance from a technical and process prospective; as well as, conducting up to a Tier III level of technical remediation to identified issues.
The job duties of the Change & Configuration Technical Analyst are as follows:
Develop technical policies for documenting and changing baseline project configuration items and maintenance action processes.
Providing input and resolution to technical issue logs in support of Change Control Board and Configuration Management objectives.
Detect and drive the resolution of deficiencies in post-change implementation review.
Perform complex technical review and root-cause analysis of failed maintenance actions, providing logical remediation recommendations/actions.
Interface with and coordinate work taskings through customer managed ticket system.
Perform evaluation of O&M activities to include Tier 3 troubleshooting in direct support of Problem and Configuration Management technical findings.
Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and correct problems in the network while maintaining logs and records associated with reported problems or situations.
Coordinate with and provide technical counsel to configuration management and implementation teams.
Implement standard network change requests in remediation to Change and Configuration Management findings.
Develop and recommend technical solutions for recurring network problems, perform trend analysis on such problems; providing these findings to a Problem Management team.
Provide technical review for the installation of new equipment being evaluated by the Configuration Control Board.
Monitor the performance of compliance and auditing of network management systems to include troubleshooting device and network issues.
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)
Required Qualifications: Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years. Must comply with DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
Additional required qualifications include:
Layer 2 and Layer 3 network experience.
Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model.
Working knowledge of Layer 2 switching concepts.
Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals and the ability to map out a network given device access.
Working knowledge of Layer 3 protocols such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), and Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP).
Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products.
Demonstrated experience working with network mapping and diagraming tools such as Network Automation, Riverbed, and MS Visio.
