Working time: EMEA with flexibility

The team ATS Tier 3 support of the AT&T Integrated Cloud (AIC) and Network Cloud (NC) networks for IP Networking is looking for a new member. They support the AIC Large, AIC Medium (Ethernet) and NC fabric (also called leaf – spine underlay), Contrail Overlay networking (AIC) and the R-leaf Router in NC.

They perform the following two roles as Tier 3 for the above Cloud networks:

  • Growth Efforts
    • actively participate on Devops teams with Tech Arch, TP&E and other teams for network design and growth efforts.
    • write GMOPs (generic), SMOPs (device specific), and validation processes (steps) for Automation as part of network deployment / configuration implementations.
    • support the LifeCycle Tier 2 team that does that actual implementation.
    • they also in some case write scripts from basic data gathering to Ansible Playbooks for upgrades.

  • Incident Troubleshooting
    • as Tier 3, they provide support for the Operations Tier 2 IPTRC team. Respond probably in an 80/20 manner for basic issues, for a catastrophic issue, and then for chronic issues.
    • develop root cause analysis procedures from a technical perspective and drive issues back toward a vendor or Tech Arch for resolution.
    • they also write basic scripts to improve data gathering (for example, EyeScan report for dirty circuits to help the IPTRC team)


Need Proficiency with the IP Suite of Protocols:
    • OSPF or IS-IS, BGP, MPLS
    • Ethernet networking
    • Need working experience with either troubleshooting or design of Layer 2/3 networks (Ethernet / IP networking)
A nice to have but not a requirement would be an understanding and/or working experience with Cloud networking. For example any Linux, Openstack, Containers (Docker / Kubernetes), Calico Networking, or Contrail knowledge or experience would be beneficial.Also, nice to have would be knowledge / experience writing scripts - Python, Ansible Playbooks.
