Senior Software Engineer, Back End – TV Platform

At Xandr, data analysis and forecasting are our bread and butter – we process, inspect, and analyze billions of ad events nightly to provide unparalleled forecasting for some of the world’s top publishers. Our platform must constantly evolve, and we’re searching for an engineer to contribute to handling these Internet-scale problems. You will need to keep abreast of the latest technologies to handle large data problems and quickly determine applicability. A background in mathematics or machine learning is also preferred.

About the team:

The Louisville team is focused on developing our Publisher platforms, including the industry-leading Yieldex Analytics product. This platform provides inventory management, forecasting, and satisfies guaranteed advertising sales needs for the world’s largest digital publishers. About the job:
  • Collaborate with a team of smart and passionate engineers, designers, and product owners
  • Ensure the highest level of engineering best practices in the software you develop
  • Implement solutions based on both your own and others’ design specs, give and receive feedback on pull-requests, and write tests

Qualifications

About your skills:
  • BA/BS degree and 5+ years of software engineering experience (degree in Computer Science and/or minor in quantitative field preferred)
  • Expertise in Java and deep knowledge of the Spring ecosystem of frameworks
  • Expertise in JVM memory management
  • Strong knowledge of AWS
  • Experience in search technologies such as Elasticsearch
  • Strong experience with distributed caching with Redis
  • Deep knowledge of SQL datastores such as MySQL
  • Advanced skill in testing with frameworks such as Mockito, Powermock, Rest Assured, Spring Test, and Gatling
