This position is for a Tier3 Network Analyst who will work in a 7x24 network operations center monitoring and managing WAN, LAN and VOIP/IPT networks for Domestic and international clients.

This position requires that the analyst be able to dynamically multitask on diverse issues and work with customers in a fast pace SLA driven environment; Engage equipment and service vendors that support network operations; Interface with client by responding to client requests and notifying them of network problems and the impact on customer’s business; Interface with vendors as needed on client’s behalf to resolve network issues.

The successful candidate MUST have demonstrable Data-Networking knowledge and experience to include Brocade, Cisco, Edgewater, Juniper, F5, Riverbed, TCP/IP, and Circuit troubleshooting. This is an absolute requirement for this position.

The Sr. Tech Specialist, Network Operations is a strategic technical position in GT3 focused around Vyatta TAC support and advanced SDN solutions. Positions are for in support of the White Box solution that is ramping and GT3 will play a vital support role. Position is for a steward of TAC Operations in the post installation of AT&T's portfolio of SDN products and services and looks for opportunities to restore critical services across Global organizations for our end customers. At the Regional level, he will understand Customer's outage through interfacing with various Tier 3 and Tier 2 teams. Candidate will need to ensure that high levels of customer satisfaction is achieved by ensuring support teams restore complex network outages.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Vyatta Team Skill: The candidate will receive escalations from ATS management and from LCMs and will be responsible for the resolution of complex customer service impacting network outages. • Candidate is responsible for vyatta TAC support and will have to work with developers to ensure operational patches and software releases are timely released for our end customers supporting various versions of Vyatta OS. • Requires extensive understanding and experience in AT&T’s Common Backbone, IPAG, and classic Ethernet networks in VCE/VPE environment and their impact on security, stability, scalability and operations. • Required deep understanding on routing policy; VOIP; Multicast VPN; Deep packet analysis etc. Knowledge of enterprise customer architecture of HSRP/VRRP, Ethernet switching, DMVPN, GRE tunnels,802.1Q and IOS/IOS-XR/Junos software. • The job entails a very advanced knowledge of service provider gear on various CISCO & Juniper platform/Also required is IP protocol knowledge in Multicast, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP etc. Advanced layer2 knowledge in technologies such as Ethernet, Frame-relay, ATM, PPP, MLPPP, MLFR, BFD etc. • Participate in OCATS certification for upcoming SDN solutions and help prepare MOP for life cycle mgt teams. • Meet Center based KPI & Customer Fault Management reports, and recommend improvements.

Key Competencies and Skills:

Required skills: o Fluent English Verbal and Writing o Software Defined Networks o Network Function Virtualization o Advanced WAN troubleshooting/problem determination. (Frame Relay, ISDN, ATM, and Private Line) o LAN troubleshooting/problem determination. (Ethernet, VTP, Token Ring, HSRP) o Advanced knowledge of Cisco, Edgewater, Juniper, F5, Riverbed troubleshooting/problem determination and maintenance. o Excellent understanding of routing and routing protocols. (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc.) •

Education and Qualifications:

Degree in electrical/electronic engineering, computer engineering or related discipline. • At least 8+ years work experience in an IT or telecommunications industry with an excellent understanding of WAN, LAN & SDN technologies and network operations. • Ability to work and support in 24/7 environment with dedicated US prime hours or early AP hrs. Candidates must be available for 7x24x365 On-Call Support. • Good knowledge of integrated management platforms - AT&T's iGEMS platform. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Good team Player with analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines in a fast pace and changing environment. • Cisco/Juniper or SDN Certification, and ITIL knowledge is an added advantage. *Background Check to be determined if the person is external to AT&T*
