BIFS (Billing, Invoicing and Financial Systems) team at Xandr is responsible for clearing millions of dollars through the platform and accounting for every penny attributed to our buyers, sellers and third party entities. This spans multiple domain areas like auction time pricing contract, big data MR billing and clearing batch processing jobs, reporting and invoicing, and financial applications that integrate with ERP, data warehouse within Xandr, Salesforce systems, and other external business systems.
BIFS team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer as an individual contributor with significant technical leadership to help drive and scale the billing and financial clearing systems at Xandr. The role requires technical prowess in or ability to quickly learn a multitude of technologies. The engineer will work on site, in Xandr’ New York office, in close collaboration with the transaction logic and data pipeline teams, product for commercial features, cross functional teams like Salesforce, and stakeholders like finance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop reliable, scalable and testable big data jobs, api's and applications - Collaborate with a cross-functional teams with versatility in diverse technology backgrounds - Participate in all stages of the SDLC, from design and development, to deployment and maintenance - Work closely with product, stakeholders, and users - Deep understanding of how work drives commercial and financial business outcomes
Key Competencies and Skills:
• - BA/BS/MS degree and 7+ years of experience in software engineering (Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred) • 5+ years of experience in the development and administration of ERP systems. (Infor SunSystems experience highly desirable; Oracle Fusion is nice to have) • Strong working knowledge of o Primary Skill Set: ? C#, ASP.Net, Linq, ORM tool, ADO.NET, MVC, WCF, Web Services, SOAP, REST API, SQL Server, T-SQL, Oracle, Web, Windows and Console Applications. ? Familiar in Software Design Patterns, multi-tier/client-server application architecture, database designs ? Familiar integration to/from third party applications. o Secondary Skill Set: Python, Java and similar technologies. • 3+ years experience in enterprise business systems administrative support in the financial sector including knowledge of payment systems, invoicing systems, treasury desk, lock box, payroll, etc. • Able to product technical specifications, work with cross-team members, deliver solutions. • Experience with source control and, continuous integration processes preferred • Experience with Coupa, Serengeti, ADP, Concur a plus. • Fundamental and demonstrable knowledge of accounting and finance terms and concepts. • Ability to rapidly translate design mock ups and prototypes into working application designs. • Demonstrated passion for user experience design and improving usability of systems. • Comfortable working in an agile, fast paced and dynamic work environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be flexible with 1 to 10pm work timings
Education and Qualifications:
