Roles and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for leading a team of offshore team members, including guidance both technically as well as managerially • Responsible for performing application monitoring and response as well as application problem management and resolution. • Performs application change management and implementation • Handles scheduling, tuning and configuration of application and infrastructure components • Must be on call 24X7 in the event of an outage and must be knowledgeable about the specific applications supported • Communicates effectively and clearly in writing and verbally. • May require maintenance or configuration of other associated software or hardware components required for the application to work
Key Competencies and Skills:
• Strong leadership skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills with good analytical skills • Significant experience with information systems and their components • Knowledge of Linux/UNIX, including shell scripting • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra • Ability to automate processes using Unix Scripting in languages such as Shell or Python • Ability to perform root-cause analysis of system and application issues • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure cloud computing • Onsite-Offshore model working experience • Knowledge of Jira ticketing system
Education and Qualifications:
• Requires 6+ years of experience in a technical support role • 2+ years of experience leading up a small team of support specialists • Bachelor's degree, or comparable experience Must be flexible to work between 1 to 10 pm work timings
