Looking for high energy, experienced candidate to fill an SMTS position to perform ETE Integrated System Engineering, Solution Architecture, High Level Design and DevOps Agile Scrum Team engagement on innovative Service Assurance solutions for physical, virtual and containerized Network Functions (NFs) deployed for AT&T networks and services on AT&T networks and 3rd Party Cloud Networks.  
Principal Responsibilities for this position include:  Collaboration with Mobility service teams, Network Cloud fabric teams, and Operations teams to define integrated E2E solutions for Fault Management, Performance Management and Capacity Management, Perform E2E Systems Engineering role in support of Svc Assurance Architect(s) and Product Owner Delegates in 5G ART scrum teams to conduct detailed technical reviews of the ETE designs with the impacted Applications teams.  Create training videos and guides for new Self-Serve capabilities; provide demos, and assist with Operations adoption of delivered functionality.  Provide training, hands-on assistance and troubleshooting support to lab and production users on Network Function onboarding and monitoring enablement.

Work will involve ongoing engagement with Service and Network designers and NF vendors, providing precision and clarity around Service Assurance capabilities/options (current and planned), and systems engineering feasibility consultations with partners to determine viability and applicability of alternative solutions to their projects/initiatives.  In parallel, close collaboration with Operations to identify and deliver Service Assurance solutions that provide cost-effective, highly configurable self-serve capabilities and automation is required.

This position requires an individual with technical skills in the Service Assurance discipline.  Applicants will be required to have or be capable of exhibiting contributions in the Service Assurance area. Your contribution can be external to the company, but shall be primarily internal.  You should be recognized in the company as have senior level technical expertise and deep technical knowledge and subject matter expertise on AT&T technologies.  In addition, you should have worked or be capable of working on projects of medium to high complexity, where analysis of data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors, using knowledge and expertise derived from strong educational background and progressive experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate shall have a PhD in an approved field with no minimum years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience,
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to small to medium scale technical efforts and expertise in the following areas, with familiarity with other technologies, is a must:  Cloud/Virtualization, Containerization, SDN, IP networking, Cloud/Data Center Technologies including Networking, Network Operations, Systems Platforms, SW development (especially in the area of network and/or cloud functions),
  • Experience with Network and Service Inventory/Data Modeling, and Service Assurance.
  • Systems Engineering, analytical and integration experience.
  • Strong technical background with demonstrated ability to grasp new technologies and contribute on technical projects, including technical and business trade-offs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written).  
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on cross organizational teams.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize work, and work independently as well as part of a team.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience with integration of industry and private Service Assurance solutions.  Understanding and experience with TICK/ELK stacks, fault and performance management techniques, advanced event processing, event correlation, and analytics.
  • Strong preference for candidates who are open to new innovative technologies, ideas and concepts, driven by challenges and opportunities, and who proactively stay current with recent technologies and industry trends,
  • Experience providing hands-on support to users, creating training materials, and providing demos
  • Experience with troubleshooting service delivery and service assurance issues in public and private cloud network environments
