The Cybersecurity Incident Response team is at the forefront of defending the enterprise against cyber threats, conducting rigorous investigations, and implementing swift remediation strategies. In this pivotal role, you'll engage in dynamic cybersecurity operations across products, services, infrastructure, networks, and applications, ensuring the highest level of protection for AT&T, our customers, and our stakeholders. Working alongside seasoned professionals, you will be directly involved in crucial projects aimed at bolstering the security of devices, customer data, corporate assets, and our extensive IT and network infrastructure.
The role is pivotal in safeguarding AT&T, our customers, and our vendors/partners against cyber threats. As a dedicated Incident Response Specialist, you will be at the forefront of identifying, investigating, and mitigating cyber incidents to protect our products, services, infrastructure, networks, and applications.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead and Contribute to Cyber Incident Response Efforts: Take charge of the incident response process, from detection through to remediation and post-incident analysis. This includes coordinating with relevant teams to ensure swift action and minimize impact.
Develop and Refine Incident Response Protocols: Work on enhancing existing incident response strategies and procedures. This involves staying ahead of emerging threats and ensuring our response capabilities are robust and agile.
Conduct Thorough Security Incident Analysis: Analyze security breaches to understand their root cause. Develop solutions and preventative measures to mitigate future risks.
Engage in Proactive Threat Hunting and Intelligence Gathering: Participate in proactive efforts to discover potential threats before they manifest as incidents. Utilize cyber threat intelligence to inform decision-making and response strategies.
Collaborate on Cross-Functional Projects: Work alongside other cybersecurity teams on projects that enhance AT&T’s overall security posture, including vulnerability assessment, risk analysis, and the development of new security technologies.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Cyber Security is preferred, though equivalent experience in cybersecurity incident response will be considered.
8-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on incident response and threat analysis.
Knowlege of Splunk, Sentinel 1, Palo Alto (PAN), Microsoft Defender, Azure, AWS required.
Demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and standards as they relate to incident response.
Proficiency in security tools and technologies used for incident detection, analysis, and mitigation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during security events.
Requires Daily Office Presence (3-5 days a week). No relocation assistance is provided.
Our Principal Cybersecurity earn between $141,300 - $211,900. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
