We are seeking an experienced self-driven software engineer who is comfortable being part of a small skunk works team responsible for building, designing, and end-to-end ownership of a scalable software product tasked to deliver intelligent data driven products.
Responsible for the development of high performance, scalable, distributed computing tasks using Java, Scala, Python and other distributed environment technologies.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Uses big data programming languages and technology, writes code, completes programming and documentation, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in distributed, large scale analytics and visualization solutions. Utilize self-service ingestion mechanisms to create automated ingestion pipelines, including error checks and notifications. Aggregate multiple disparate datasets to create datasets for modelling and feature creation consumption. Interacts with data scientists and industry experts to understand how data needs to be converted, loaded and presented. Works in a highly agile environment. Manages day to day work and deliverables .
Master of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Scientific Computing preferred. Requires 5 - 8 years experience. Hands on experience using Python, Scala, Java, SQL, and popular back-end frameworks. Knowledge of telecom Datasets. Experience with Azure cloud services. Strong communication skills – communicating with all levels of management, understanding business requirements, and defining project roadmaps.
Our Senior Big Data Software Engineers earn between $128,500 - 160,000 not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
