Technical Sales Consultant 4 MGD/MOB SEC

BOSTON , Massachusetts

Overall Purpose: As an overlay sales position to the direct sales team, provides technical pre/post-sales support to ensure successful scoping of requirements and technical solutioning of Managed Security Services (MSS) and Mobile Security products and services. Key Roles and
Responsibilities: Provides technical support during joint sales meetings with customers and direct sales teams. Majority of time is spent with customers consulting, selling and supporting the complex company products/services/systems/ solutions. Contributes to unit sales plan through pre-sales technical consulting activities. Provides technical support in sales presentations and product demonstrations. Leads the technical discussions in client meetings across multiple levels and disciplines to identify business and technical needs, issues and priorities. Formulates responses to customer inquiries/questions concerning highly complex system software and applications.
Analyzes customer requirements and designs and implements solutions using company products and services. Designs technical solutions involving new and emerging technologies. Position requires extensive knowledge of Managed Security Services portfolio and security issues and trends. Position requires travel (less than 50% of time). Duties directly related to making sales includes: Meeting with customers engaged in sales activities at the customers site , communicating with customers via phone, teleconference, e-mail, etc. providing subject matter expertise regarding technical issues relating to sale. advising
Education: Typically requires a Bachelor degree or equivalent.
Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 10 years direct work experience.
Supervisory: No.

Additional Information:

1. 7-10 (10+ preferred) technical sales support on complex/technical products, services, applications, and/or solutions to business customers

2. Deep Knowledge/experience with Managed Security Services and Mobile Security  Portfolio

3. Strong consultative selling skills

4. CISSP, GIAC, or other Security Industry Certifications preferred
