The Business Operations function is a team of shared resources that support the entire AT&T Advertising & Analytics business. While the organization falls within the larger AT&T company, they act in a start-up mode in order to drive significant growth in the business. The organization ensures cross-functional involvement and Stakeholdering of key initiatives and programs. While developing a team of cross-functional resources, this ensures not only best outcome on key programs, but by doing so in the most cost-effective manner. The Advertising and Analytics Business Operations team will prioritize four pillars of work – Risk Mitigation, Resource Prioritization, Organization Alignment and Workforce Productivity. This specific function is in support of a Risk Mitigation individual contributor.
The Lead Financial Controls & Systems Manager – Advertising & Media in the Advertising & Analytics Business Operations team will be responsible for leading the Risk Mitigation function. The role holder will be responsible for assessing, documenting and deploying controls for all the Advertising and Analytics business. The position role holder is expected to build project plans, propose new policies, manage internal audit relationships/calendar, partner with the technical stakeholders to have new processes coded & implemented. They will also be responsible for supporting efforts to developing financial requirements as we migrate a new operating subsidiary of AT&T Inc.
Given the role will be controls focus, the role holder should have either Audit, Accounting, or other Controllers type experience. In addition, a technical background with financial management systems would be desired to be most effective in this role.
Other Key Roles and Responsibilities
Provides technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing financial systems and may act as a liaison to IT for system programming and coding. Develops solutions to financial systems issues and works with systems design to implement new features, including performing financial systems testing. Ensures financial modules are working effectively and efficiently and that proper security is in place. Works on all phases of financial systems development and maintenance. May include the design, development, implementation, testing, and ongoing support for extensive user maintained decision and rules engines. Can be responsible for day-to-day work prioritization, scheduling, and resource allocations of a team performing the financial systems activities listed above. Ensures that client needs are met, priority processing and projects are completed on time, and that resources are utilized in the most effective manner. May prepare, review or provide input to project business cases. Manages process improvement, team productivity, methodology and standards. May assist in the development of team members in terms of both operations and technical expertise by providing on-the-job training and by taking advantage of formal training opportunities.
Education & Experience Requirements
- mso-ansi-language:EN" lang="EN">5 to 7 years experience within an accounting or auditing role, preferably in media or advertising
- mso-ansi-language:EN" lang="EN">Strong familiarity with agile methods (e.g. Scrum Master)
- mso-ansi-language:EN" lang="EN">Enhanced analytical, quantitative, technical, and business abilities
- mso-ansi-language:EN" lang="EN">Strong proficiencies in all Microsoft Office products: Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, Visio
- Ability to work in a start-up environment, fast pace, and quick response times for delivery
- Strong executive and program management communication skills
Accreditation, Certification, or Licenses
- mso-ansi-language:EN" lang="EN">CPA strongly desired
- Education in Accounting or Finance
- Certificate in Technical fields such as PMP, Certified ScrumMaster,
- Automation work experience or accreditation desired
